ALTMAN COMMITS TO ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY

TEMPE, ARIZONA – Alex Altman of Tustin, California has formally committed to play hockey for Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona for the upcoming 2018-19 season.

Altman has played the last four seasons for the Beckman Patriots in Tustin, California, a team he led to an undefeated season of 27-0-1-0 in 2017-18, which included a Varsity D-3 Championship as well as two tournament titles. Altman served as Captain of the Patriots during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons. He is the team’s all-time leader in games played, having played in 157 consecutive games, power play goals and plus/minus. He is Beckman’s all-time leader in goals, assists and points by a defenseman.

Altman is veteran of the prestigious Anaheim Jr. Ducks and Anaheim Ducks High School Hockey League (“ADHSHL”) and has been named to the ADHSHL all-star team three times, as well as being selected to participate in America’s Showcase in St. Louis, Missouri as a member of Team California in 2017-18. In 2016-17 Altman was the recipient of the Hobey Baker High School Character Award.

Altman passed on numerous offers from Junior Hockey teams as well as offers from NCAA-DIII schools in order to attend Arizona State University and play for Coach Tait Green.
