Former Jr. Ducks standout Colin Frank has been picked for the U.S. Junior Select Team that will play in the 2025 World Junior A Challenge on Dec. 7-13 in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec.

Frank, a 2006 birth year, is in his third season with Dubuque of the United States Hockey League. An assistant captain for Dubuque this season, Frank has improved statistically each season. The UConn commit has 11 points, including eight goals, in his first 12 games this season. That comes after 43 points (15 goals) in 58 games last season and 17 points in 70 games in 2023-24.

Frank had 126 points, including 57 goals, for the Jr. Ducks 16U AAA team that reached the USA Hockey Nationals in the 2022-23 season. His point total was the second-highest in the nation in his age group.

The tournament pits the top Junior A players (20-under) from the U.S., Canada and Sweden. Team USA won the tournament for the 10th time in 2024.

Frank becomes the sixth former Jr. Ducks player to compete in the event, and four have been part of championship teams. That includes Dennis Kravchenko in 2013, Josh Groll and Ryan Johnson in 2018, and Sam Harris in 2022.
