United States Hockey League teams selected seven former Jr. Ducks players during the junior circuit's Phase I and II drafts on May 6-7.

The USHL Phase I draft was for 2008 birth years, and it saw five former Jr. Ducks taken.

They included forwards Noah Davidson, Zane Torre and Gavin Clark, as well as defensemen Sean Burick and Odin Vauhkonen.

Davidson, a left wing, was a first-round pick (eighth overall) by Waterloo.

Torre, a center, was a second round-pick (29th) by Dubuque.

Burick was a fifth-round pick (74th) by Youngstown.

Vauhkonen was a seventh-round choice (101st) by Youngstown.

Clark went to Lincoln in the eighth round (109th).

Dubuque added two more former Jr. Ducks in the Phase II draft, which includes players from birth years 2004-07 whose rights were not held by a USHL team.

Those were defenseman Josh Niedermayer and forward Hayden Russell.

Niedermayer, a second-round pick (29th), is a 2004 who played this past season for Arizona State and currently is in the NCAA transfer portal.

Russell, a 2007, played this past season for JSerra High of the Anaheim Ducks High School Hockey League. He committed to play Division I hockey at Holy Cross recently.
