Lady Ducks win four titles at PGHL Championships

In addition to the four champions, two more LDs teams reached the final in their division. 

The Lady Ducks captured four titles at the  Pacific Girls Hockey League Championships at Las Vegas over President's Day Weekend. In addition, two more LDs teams reached the finals. 

The LDs brought home banners at 12U AAA, 14U AAA, 19U AA and 14U AA. The 16U AAA and 12U AA teams advanced to finals.

The 12U AAA's defeated the Arizona Kachinas, 7-3, in their championship game. The 12s went 2-0 in round-robin play, outscoring foes 8-3 in the process, and 15-6 for the tournament. 

The 14U AAA's overcame a 0-1-1 round-robin record to win two playoff games, knocking off the San Jose Jr. Sharks, 4-1, for a title. The 14's earlier shut out the L.A. Lions, 4-0, in a play-in game.

The 19U AA's beat the Jr. Sharks, 3-2 to win the 16U/19U AA division crown. The 19s went 1-1-1 in round-robin play, matching the 16U AA team's record. 

The 14U AA's blanked the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights, 3-0, for their championship. The 14s rolled to a 3-0 round-robin record, and they outscored opponents 20-1 in the process. 

The 16U AAA team fell to the San Diego Angels' 19U AAA team, 2-1, while the 12U AA team dropped a 3-1 decision to the Tri-Valley Lady Blue Devils. 

The 16U AAA's went 2-1 in round-robin play, while the LDs' 19U AAA team went 1-1-1 in the 16U/19U AAA division. The 12U AA's went 2-0-1 in round-robin action.  

Three Lady Ducks AAA teams - 14U, 16U and 19U - will participate in the Pacific District Championships at San Jose from Feb. 23-26. The Jr. Ducks' 16U and 18U AAA teams also are in the tournament. District winners will earn berths in the USA Hockey Youth Nationals, which begin in late March at various sites around the country.
