Jr. Ducks, Lady Ducks combine to win four SCAHA titles

The Jr. Ducks win banners at 10U A, 12U BB and 12U B, while the LDs reign at 10U B2

The Jr. Ducks won three SCAHA championships and the Lady Ducks added a fourth on Sunday at The Cube in Santa Clarita.

The Jr. Ducks earned banners at the 10U A, 12U BB and 12U B levels, while the Lady Ducks defeated a fourth Jr. Ducks team for the 10U B2 title.

The 10U A1 team defeated SDIA 6-0 in the championship game. The team went 2-1 in round-robin play, then knocked off the California Bears 6-4 in a semifinal.

The A1 team went 11-2-2 in the regular season and finished first in the SCAHA standings.

The 12U BB team defeated Orange County Hockey Club 4-3 in the final. The team had knocked off the Ice Hawks 6-3 in a semifinal after sweeping three round-robin games but a cumulative 22-6 margin. 

The 12U BB team also finished first during the regular season with a 12-1-2 record. 

The 12U B team edged the Bay Harbor Red Wings 3-2 in the championship, continuing a pattern of close wins throughout the tournament. The 12U B's had nipped OCHC 4-3 in the semifinals after winning two round-robin games by one goal and a third by two goals. 

The team also finished first during the regular season with a 12-2-1 record. 

The Lady Ducks toppled the Jr. Ducks 5-2 for the 10U B2 title. The LDs finished first during the regular season with a 12-0-3 record, while the Jr. Ducks placed third with a 9-4-2 mark. 

The Lady Ducks won all three round-robin games by a combined 27-5 margin, then beat the California Heat 7-2 in the semifinals. The Jr. Ducks also won all three of their round-robin games and rolled Empire HC 10-2 in its semifinal.
