WHL drafts four Jr. Ducks in its U.S. Priority Draft

Four players with ties to the Jr. Ducks were taken in the Western Hockey League's U.S. Priority Draft on Wednesday.

Four players with ties to the Anaheim Jr. Ducks, including two current members of the 16U AAA team, were selected in the Western Hockey League's U.S. Priority Draft on Wednesday.

All four players are 2006 birth years. 

Current Jr. Ducks Colin Frank and Tyler McGowan were drafted by Brandon and Victoria, respectively.

Frank, a right wing, has 35 points, including eight goals, in just 19 games for the 16Us. He was the 13th overall selection.

McGowan, a defenseman, has 11 points in 36 games. He was a second-round pick, 36th overall.

The duo was joined by forward Aidan Yi and Trevor Connelly. Both were first-round selections. Yi was chosen by Everett, while Connolley was taken by Spokane.

Each of the WHL's 22 teams picks two players in the Priority Draft. The league will hold its U.S. Prospects Draft on Thursday.
