JR DUCKS 14U AA-2

Taylor Love

Head Coach

Taylor Love

Going into his sixth season on the Jr. Ducks' staff, Taylor has consistently positioned his teams for playoff berths. Taylor led the Jr. Ducks 12U AA-1 team to the CAHA State Tournament in 2024. His 12U BB team won CAHA and SCAHA titles in 2022, and he also guided the Capistrano Coyotes to a silver medal at the USA Hockey High School Nationals in the spring of 2021 and won an ADHSHL JV championship. He had a 14U AA team and a 10U B team positioned to compete for CAHA and SCAHA championships, respectively, in 2020 before Covid ground hockey to a halt.

Taylor, who holds a Level 4 coaching certification through USA Hockey, played AAA hockey in Southern California before going to the British Columbia Hockey League for two years and playing four seasons of NCAA hockey at Elmira College. From there, the defenseman played five seasons of pro hockey in the ECHL, SPHL and FHL, where he won a championship in 2018.

Taylor has a holistic hockey development philosophy: "Have fun playing the game we love. Use the game of ice hockey to develop young athletes, and, more importantly, to strengthen one's character and values."
